Sign up for lacrosse, the fastest-growing sport in the United States, is under way. The Queen Anne Lacrosse Club (one of the oldest youth lacrosse clubs in Seattle), Magnolia United and Queen Anne Quick Styx for girls are all local teams who will teach the game.
Siam Owen, a former Queen Anne lacrosse player, will start his high school lacrosse as a freshman at O’Dea High School. Siam played with the regional Seattle Starz lacrosse and representing the area on the West Coast Starz 2012 summer team, one of the elite clubs in the West.
Through Starz, Owen attended two lacrosse invitational NCAA & MCLA recruiting events. The Adrenaline High Rollers tournament in Coronado, Calif., features the best players from Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Texas, Nevada, Northern and Southern California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Calgary. He also traveled back east to compete at the Terrapin Classic, the Maryland National Invitational recruiting event near Annapolis, Maryland.
He looks forward to bringing his passions and skills to play O’Dea lacrosse and supporting Queen Anne lacrosse through volunteer coaching and refereeing.
