Hope for Justice and the World Affairs Council will present a panel discussion on the issues of sex trafficking, as shown in the award-winning film “Eden” on Friday, May 3.

The film is based on a true story in the United States. It won the Golden Space Needle Award for Best Actress at the 2012 Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF).

The panel discussion will follow the 7 p.m. screening of the film (which runs through May 15) at the SIFF Uptown Cinema (511 Queen Anne Ave. N.). The featured panelists include Sen. Jeanne Kohl-Welles (D-36th District), who sponsored the recently passed anti-sex-trafficking legislation in Olympia; and Youthcare’s Leslie Briner.
