Lane restrictions on eastbound and westbound Mercer Street will occur Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Friday, Sept. 5.
Travelers can expect the following impacts:
•The right lane of both eastbound and westbound Mercer Street between Dexter and Fifth avenues North will close between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily to accommodate water-line work and paving activities.
•Beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, and continuing until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, the westbound right lane of Mercer Street between state Route 99 and Eighth Avenue North will close for utility work.
•One lane in each direction on Mercer Street will remain open to traffic at all times.
Nighttime lane restrictions on both northbound and southbound Dexter Avenue North between Roy and Republican streets will occur Tuesday, Sept. 2, through Friday, Sept. 5, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for underground utility work. Police officers will be on-site at the intersection of Dexter Avenue North and Mercer Street to help direct traffic during work hours.
Fifth Avenue North between Republican and Mercer streets will have both the northbound and southbound right lanes closed for utility work on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. One lane in each direction on Fifth Avenue North will remain open to traffic at all times.
No work on the Mercer Corridor Project will occur over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
