Beginning the morning of Saturday, May 10, at 4 a.m. through 8 p.m. that day, access to northbound Queen Anne Avenue North will fully close to traffic from Roy Street to accommodate utility installation and paving activities.
During the closure:
•Travelers heading north from westbound Roy Street will detour onto southbound Queen Anne Avenue and then right onto Mercer Street to proceed north on Second Avenue West.
Travelers from downtown should use First Avenue North to westbound Mercer Street and Second Avenue West or Fifth and Taylor avenues North to access Queen Anne.
•Southbound Queen Anne Avenue will reduce to one lane between Valley and Roy streets. One lane of southbound traffic will be maintained at all times.
•Turns onto westbound Roy Street from southbound Queen Anne Avenue will be restricted. Access to Queen Anne Avenue from eastbound Roy Street will also be restricted.
•Uniformed police officers will facilitate traffic flow around the work zone.
Also, Mercer Street will have intermittent lane restrictions at Queen Anne and First avenues North on Saturday, May 10, from 4 a.m. through 8 p.m.
During this work, travelers can expect:
•One eastbound lane on Mercer Street will remain open at all times.
•Parking adjacent to the work zone will be restricted.
•Local access to businesses and properties will be maintained at all times.
•Uniformed police officers will be stationed throughout the work zone to facilitate traffic flow.
•Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes when possible. Early warning signs will be available in advance of all detours.
