Through May 16, the public is invited to vote for one of 10 finalists in the Classical KING-FM Young Artist Awards Competition. The finalists’ video entries are posted on Classical KING-FM’s official website (KING.org), where viewers may listen and watch the 10 musicians and vote online for their favorite.

The top 10 finalists will get a chance to perform on Friday, May 2, and May 9 on KING FM’s “NW Focus Live” program at 8 p.m. in the Classical KING-FM studios.

On May 22, KING-FM will announce the winners. The winners will perform in a live studio concert on “NW Focus LIVE” on May 30.

The annual competition is designed to support emerging young musicians, giving them opportunities to share their talents with the community on the radio, online and in the community.

The competition has two age categories: one for younger musicians ages 6 to 15, and another for ages 16 to 20. The two categories allow younger children just starting out in music to gain exposure while also honoring more experienced young adults.
