Permit applications

1927 EIGHTH AVE. W. (3016469) for a Land Use Application to allow three single-family dwelling units and one two-unit townhouse structure (total of five units) with parking for six vehicles provided on the site. Existing structure to be demolished. The following approval is required: SEPA environmental determination. (This project is subject to the Optional DNS Process (WAC 197-11-355) and Early DNS Process (SMC 25.05.355). This comment period may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of this proposal. Building and demolition permits may be needed but were not included in this application. Written comments accepted through Feb. 12.

 

Permit decisions

1907 DEXTER AVE. N. (3015366) on a Land Use Application to allow a two-unit rowhouse in an environmentally critical area. Parking for two vehicles will be located within the structure. Existing structure to be demolished. The following appealable decision has been made based on submitted plans: Determination of Non-Significance (no Environmental Impact Statement required). Environmental review completed, and no conditions imposed. This DNS is issued using the optional DNS process in WAC 197.11.355 and SMC 25.05.355. The comment period was originally published on July 11, 2013, and there is no further comment period on this DNS. The hearing examiner must receive appeals of this decision no later than Monday, Feb. 10.

 

Design reviews

1511 DEXTER AVE. N. (3015682) of a six-story structure containing approximately 65 residential units and two live/work units. Parking for about six vehicles to be provided on the surface and about 20 spaces within the structure. Proposal includes a contract rezone from NC 3-40’ to NC 3-65’.

The meeting will take place Feb. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at Queen Anne Community Center (1901 First Ave. W.), in Room 1.

The DPD director will accept written comments to assist in the preparation of the early design guidance through Feb. 19. Comments regarding important site planning and design issues that should be addressed in the design for this project are welcome. Comments and requests to be made party of record should be submitted to PRC@seattle.gov or City of Seattle – DPD – PRC, 700 Fifth Ave., Suite 2000, P.O. Box 34019, Seattle, WA 98124-4019.

An application for Design Review related to future development of this site has been submitted to the Department of Planning and Development (DPD). The first phase of Design Review includes the Early Design Guidance (EDG) meeting. At the Early Design Guidance meeting, the following occurs:

•The applicants will present information about the site and vicinity, as well as early massing design concepts.

•The public may offer comments regarding the design of a development on the subject site.

•The Design Review Board will provide guidance and identify those Design Guidelines of highest priority for the design as it moves forward towards Master Use Permit (MUP) application.

Following the meeting, DPD will issue a written Early Design Guidance report summarizing the meeting. This report will be sent to those who signed in at the meeting or otherwise requested a copy.
