Queen Anne’s Suzi LeVine will be appointed as ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein, President Barack Obama announced last week.

LeVine is a former Microsoft and Expedia employee. She co-founded the advisory board for the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences at the University of Washington; she still serves as a chairperson of that board.

She also co-founded Kavana Cooperative, an “independent Jewish community in Seattle” that offers programs for the Jewish faith, learning, community and activism.

LeVine is a member of the Obama for America National Finance Committee, co-chair for Tech for Obama and Women for Obama and the Northwest regional co-chair.

LeVine attended Brown University.

“I am honored that these talented individuals have decided to join this administration and serve our country,” Obama said in a press release regarding LeVine and the other people he appointed to administration positions. “I look forward to working with them in the months and years to come.”
