The Magnolia Library (2801 34th Ave. W.) will host a free series of eight “Great Decisions” sessions on a variety of world issues. All take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Cathy Van Dyke and Bill Stern will lead discussions on:

•“Defense Technology,” Tuesday, Feb. 15; 

•”Israel and the United States,” March 11;

•”Turkey’s Challenges,” March 25;

•”Islamic Awakening,” April 8;

•”Energy Independence,” April 22;

•”Food and Climate,” May 6;

•”China’s Foreign Policy,” May 20; and

•”U.S. Trade Policy,” June 3.

Copies of the chapters will be available for free at the library prior to the sessions.
