Community members will testify at the Wednesday, Feb. 5, Seattle School Board meeting in support of Jon Greenberg. They will make the case that reinstating the former Center School (305 Harrison St.) instructor will remove the district’s threat of punishment for teachers who discuss race as it affects students today.

Public testimony will begin at 5 p.m. at the John Stanford Center (2445 Third Ave. S.).

School-district officials had transferred Greenberg from The Center School after two investigations into complaints that Greenberg had created an intimidating environment in his “Citizenship and Social Justice” class. The class was later reinstated with some changes made to its curriculum.
